Find the Right Fit — We’ve Got You Covered
Getting the perfect fit for your life jacket or wetsuit is key to staying safe and comfortable on the water. Here’s everything you need to know about sizing - and what to do if your new life jacket doesn’t fit just right.
Why size matters and how to choose
Getting the right fit isn’t just about comfort - it’s about safety. A well-fitted life jacket or wetsuit will keep you secure in the water without restricting movement. Here’s what to look for when choosing the right size:
- Check the size chart. Every brand offers different shapes and sizes in their range. We're continuing to improve the information we have available for each life jacket, so be sure to check sizing & fit guides on each product page before deciding. If there's some information missing or you're still not sure, feel free to reach out to our team of experts.
- You want it snug, but not too tight. Your life jacket or wetsuit should fit snugly around your body without feeling restrictive. You want to be able to breath comfortably - if you can't take a deep breath, it's too tight. On the other hand if it can easily slide up and down your body it's too loose.
- Consider your activity. Wakeboarding and waterskiing require a more secure fit to handle high-impact movement, while jet skiing and casual boating can allow for a little looser fit.
- Try it on before hitting the water. When you receive your life jacket, and before you hit the water ensure you give it a try. Fasten all the buckles and zips, then test your range of motion. If you feel restricted or like the vest might slide up and down too much — consider exchanging for a different size.
A good fit means better buoyancy, greater comfort, and more confidence in the water. Don’t settle for ‘close enough’ — take the time to find the perfect size!

The best life jacket under $200. Hands down.
It's bold. It's light. And boy is it good value. The Tempo is a best selling life jacket because it ticks every essential box you'll need for a good day on the water.
Seriously lightweight
KGB's Airprene range has to be felt to be believed. Honestly, it's a minor miracle it doesn't just float away like some lost little balloon.
Bold Colourways
There's bright colours, then there's this. Both red and blue colourways look incredible, and will have you turning heads on any waterway.
Trusted Aussie brand
KGB have spent over 20 years quietly going about building market-leading products without all the hoo-ha you see from other brands.
Features that matter

Made from Airprene
By removing some of the heavier, more dense inner layers from traditional neoprene this Airprene material is insanely light and dries ultra fast.

Targeted flex zones
It's one thing for a life jacket to have segmentation. But it's more important for each segment to be in the right spot, otherwise it just feels wierd. The Tempo has a scaled back approach from other vests, but prioritisies enough movement exactly where you need it.

Stitch-through Segmentation
Most brands create segments by cutting the foam and stitching the noeprene in between. But to provide sufficient buoyancy that cut out foam needs to go somewhere, which means the vest gets bulkier. KGB stitch through the foam, giving a thinner overall profile to their vests.
Epic value. No sacrifice.
The Tempo just ticks every box. A comfortable, lightweight vest that'll stand up to anything you throw at it. And all for under $200.
